Another kilometer up the trail we came to the famous pictograph All-American Man. There are two dwellings located on ledges cut out of the sandstone bluffs and the pictograph is located in the one on the left that is difficult to see near the shrubs in the photo . We stopped for a little while at All-American Man to take in the sights. The paint on the wall has been dated to 1100 or 1200 AD. I just sat on this rock at the foot of All-American Man just thinking of what the scene might have looked like 800 years earlier with the men working the fields, women cooking, and the kids playing right near where we were sitting.
